Registration opens at 9:00, with the symposium starting from 10:00
10:00 to 12:00 Symposium One: Vocabulary and Corpus Linguistics
12:30 to 2:00 Lunch and Poster Session
2:15 to 4:15 Symposium Two: Vocabulary Learning and Instruction
5:00 to 10:00 Dinner and Drinks
In addition to the invited speakers, vetted poster presentations will also be included at the symposium with the themes of Tested vocabulary teaching and learning strategies and Ongoing vocabulary empirical research. The poster session will run throughout the extended lunch break in the common rest area. In previous events, we have found that this format encourages more interaction and lively discussion about the poster presentations.
Format:
Two Symposia of four speakers and one discussant along with poster presentations of Vocabulary SIG members during lunch.
Symposium: 2 hours: 20 minutes per speaker (x4), 20 minutes discussant, 20 minutes group discussion

JALT Members: 1000 yen
Non-members: 1500 yen, 500 yen for students (full-time graduate and undergraduate students not working full-time)
